moving back to the ocean felt like returning to something ancient within me, like my body remembered before my mind did.
 
This piece was inspired by Florida sunsets, the kind that don't hold back. Where the sky goes fully saturated.. deep oranges, burning reds, that heavy, glowing warmth that feels like it's radiating through everything. This one stayed with me for months. I kept coming back to it, adjusting, layering, reworking, trying to get the color to feel the way it actually feels standing there watching it. There's a difference between painting what a sunset looks like and painting what it does to you.. and I felt drawn to it the entire time. It carries that moment where everything is happening at once- intensity and softness, fire and calm, movement and stillness; right at the peak of the sky before it lets go. 🌅🔥✨
