NATALIE RAFEEDIE
Autistic Synesthetic Artist
A visionary artist who paints the melodies of life, translating the symphony of sound and emotion into a vibrant palette of color.
Originally from California, I now call St. Petersburg, Florida home. With over 15 years in corporate finance and government contracting, I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's in Accountancy. Despite professional success, I always felt a quiet pull toward creative expression. In 2021, at age 35, I was diagnosed as neurodivergent— autistic and ADHD, a transformative revelation that led me to painting as a therapeutic outlet and a powerful form of self-expression.
Art quickly became my sanctuary, a visual language that allows me to communicate the world as I uniquely perceive it. My work explores themes of perception, emotion, and energy, expressed through fluid forms and layered textures that mirror the complexity of my inner landscape. Each piece tells a story of transformation, connection, and sensory experience.
As a synesthete, I experience sound as color, a rare ability that infuses my paintings with rhythm and vibrancy. My acrylic works are inspired by the music that moves me, the natural world around me, and the vastness of the cosmos. Through every brushstroke, I aim to transcend the visible— to paint not just what is seen, but also what is felt.
Art is my bridge to others, a conduit for sharing the beauty and depth of the human experience beyond words. I invite viewers to engage with my work on an intuitive level, where sound, sensation, and emotion converge in a harmony of expression. Each painting is an invitation to connect, reflect, and experience the unseen melodies of life.
