Painting this song felt like watching different versions of something emerge and disappear beneath the surface at the same time. Shades of purples and near-black tones build a heavy atmosphere, layered enough to feel theatrical without becoming dramatic. Forms shift in and out of focus throughout, never fully revealing themselves before dissolving again. Lighter streaks cut through the darkness in sudden moments, like brief spotlights exposing something hidden underneath. The entire piece holds tension between performance and honesty, never fully settling into either one.
