“Rattlesnake Preacher”  synesthesia painting inspired by @ashleymcbryde
 
This song came through as pure contained volatility: something restless, charged, and just barely held together. Painting it felt like working inside a pressure system. Electric greens and acidic yellows vibrate against deep navy and black structures, creating a tension that never fully releases. Tight, oscillating lines coil and zig zag, building pressure before snapping outward in sharp, unpredictable bursts. Burnt orange and red sparks flicker through the movement like flashes of heat, while moments of white intensity strike and vanish just as quickly. There’s a central vertical pull anchoring everything, energy compressing inward before lashing back out, giving the piece a sense of control that feels fragile at best.
 
The structure leans toward symmetry, but never quite settles into it; held together just enough to keep from unraveling.
 
This painting also carries a strong blacklight presence, with bright neon elements and vivid orange tones that shift dramatically under UV light. It reveals an entirely different layer of energy, something louder, sharper, and more exposed; like the hidden intensity beneath the surface finally breaking through.
