“Arkansas Mud” synesthesia painting inspired by @ashleymcbryde
This painting came out fast, faster than I could think through it. From the first marks, it felt like something pushing outward, building energy with nowhere to go but through the surface.
Painting this song felt like impact. Electric reds and gold burst through the center, colliding with deep blues, copper, and black that try to hold the edges together but can’t quite contain it. Brush strokes are thrown, dragged, and splintered outward; nothing delicate, nothing hesitant. Even the darker spaces feel charged, like they’re waiting to ignite.
This piece became about release, the kind that breaks through before you have time to understand it. It holds that moment where pressure turns into motion and everything shifts all at once.
