Painting this felt like a turning point in how I experience both music and art. It came together just three months into painting, during a period of deep connection with Ashley McBryde’s music, while revisiting recordings from her 02/17/2022 Tallahassee show. 
 
The creative process moved through a synesthetic lens, where sound translated into shifting color, movement, and emotion that naturally found its way onto the canvas. The work carries layers of that lived experience, the energy of the concert, the rhythm of the songs, and the emotional clarity they consistently bring.
 
It reflects a practice that is both intuitive and immersive, where listening becomes visual language and painting becomes a form of translation. This piece also marks a meaningful milestone in my journey, holding moments of gratitude, connection, and unexpected alignment along the way.

This painting has officially made it home to Ashley. A huge thank you to an incredible security guard and Chris Harris for helping make this moment possible. Tampa, FL ✨

The stars truly aligned. I had the honor of meeting Ashley, whose presence is every bit as genuine and grounded as her music. The painting is currently on her tour bus, something I’m beyond grateful for and still in awe of. I’ve never experienced energy like what exists at an Ashley McBryde show. It’s honest, powerful, and deeply human; an energy that deserves to be felt far beyond the stage. El Dorado, AR ✨
